Owenabue Garden and Flower Club, we celebrate our 50th Anniversary this year
We begin our celebrations at our January AGM with a celebratory cake and formal tea with slideshow and reminiscences, followed by an anniversary lunch with a floral demonstration by Lorraine O'Brien in February. We also have produced an anniversary calendar filled with photographs from various members' gardens. For the 30th anniversary a bench had been placed on the Carrigaline to Crosshaven old railway line walkway and this was repainted and given a fabulous new lease of life to celebrate the 50th anniversary, I have included a photo of this which is also part of the calendar. Daffodils have been temporarily planted and are awaiting their permanent placement as part of a bigger planting arrangement in Carrigaline.
